SA Logo THE SOUTH-AFRICAN EMBASSY IS LOOKING FOR A GRADUATE STUDENT

To research the South African-Dutch trade market and set up a database to promote South African export to the Netherlands.

For the new export strategy of the South African Embassy in the Netherlands we need someone to research which South African products could be of particular interest to the Dutch market. These products can range from canned fruit to automotive parts and from leather belts to herbs, so there is a broad range of sectors to be researched. Once the competitive products have been determined, extensive details need to be researched further and compiled into a database, including information on transport and other costs, possible trade restrictions, current Dutch importers obtaining the products from competitive suppliers, etc. The embassy will use this database to organize trade missions and matchmaking meetings between South African and Dutch companies in order to stimulate the South African export market as well as promote bilateral trade.
